The easiest (and most impactful) way for individuals and groups to engage with the organization is by providing and serving a meal. Food must be cooked before arrival, as volunteers are not allowed to use Pathways’ cooking equipment. You are welcome to use the steam table to keep food warm. Plates, utensils and drinks are available in our dining room, or you may provide them.
We invite groups to sign up on a one-time or recurring basis to provide dinner for our 35 shelter residents. Dinner volunteer opportunities are available every day and lunch volunteer opportunities are available on the weekends.
Pathways serves lunch at 11:30am and we ask volunteers to arrive by 11am to set up. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM each evening, and volunteers are asked to arrive by 5:30. You can choose to stay and serve plates to our guests, or you may simply drop off the meal for our staff to serve.
If you choose to stay and serve, please be aware that space is somewhat limited, so it is best to keep the number of servers to a minimum.
